Stunning!

I would really love to do something similar - if you don't mind me asking, how much in total would this cost - PM if you prefer.

It very much depends upon ultimate final specification.
You can spend serious money on the engine - for instance at present I have a 3.0 on Weber's fitted so I dont delay the final shakedown/development of the car/suspension. We are currently preparing a Mechanical injection, high butterfly 3.0 RSR spec engine with all 'period historic RSR parts used' that alone would total in excess of £40k fully dressed that will be installed in the car prior to its FIA inspection.

When you compare current budgets for building high spec historic Escorts well north of £100k, then this level of investment for a Porsche is not out of context. I admit that in my heart, I wanted to build an ST or RSR type machine, but looking at the regulations, I consider the specification I am building 'FIA 3062' suits my needs better, even though it does not look as sexy as an earlier car

The attention to detail is very impressive.

Im just about to embark on a 911 project annd seeing this makes me very excited.

Question: I need some 16" fuchs. Where is the best place to buy them and are the reps any good?

At last we are able to install the dampers, these are a new development from Ohlins, and these are the very first set into the UK. Its been frustrating to wait four months whilst production of these has been completed but hopefully will be well worth the wait. The dampers are single adjustable, just under 30 positions, so should cater for road/track driving and change of conditions - can't wait to test them, not too long now !
