Oh and they said that Porsche reckons you can't tune the 997 TT....yeah right..

It tends to become more and more complicated, since cars are becoming incrasingly networked. It is perfectly possible to "protect" a car against tuning attempts making tuning more difficult and (thus) more expensive. At the end of the day, you might have to replace and redesign large (if not all) parts of the control electronics plus in-car networks in order to achieve tuning goals. It's not as easy as it once used to be any more... :rolleyes:

I agree Andre, also there would always seem to be gains in the Inlet and Exhaust side of the tuning...What I can't seem to ever work out is why they can't make it right from the factory, it's just as easy to get things built right than not quite right....

Maybe the 996 is the last ECU tunable car....!
