Chaps,

I am after a decent road bike (pedal one).

Got any ideas / pointers / recommends / places where I can get a good deal on one?

Thanks in advance

:)

Phil Corley cycles MK.

Can't beat specialised for value...

get a Roubaix...

Where is that Glenn ? - is it the one in the snow dome building ?

Got any pointers on 'must haves' that I will regret not getting after 5 mins of use/ownership?

There's a £2000 Cannondale Titanium Mountain Bike on ebay 4 mins to go for £385 at the moment. And i'm very tempted..... Unwanted present ...yeah right:rolleyes:

NO don't go there, that's Evans, they are awful in there:wall

Phil Corleys are at Stacey Bushes (near KFC)

I have learned a lot about bikes and there suitability over tha past year or so, and can't believe how different they can be/feel...

To the point now, where i want 4 different road bikes for the type of riding i do:scared:

It will depend mainly on your usage give me a call if you want me to meet you there...and i'll help out.

My wife's a got a Specialized Ruby (girlie Roubaix) Comp, not a bad bike, nice and light. Definitely well put together, I was a little disappointed with the amount of 105 gear on the bike but it works well.

I have a lovely Lemond Buenos Aires that I picked up in the US last summer, I've had the components upgraded to DuraAce :)

Definitely try before you buy, some bikes look and sound great. Are excellent for one person but are totally uncomfortable for the next.

Just an idea - wait 'til Glenn's on one of his Saga holidays he spends 14 weeks of the year on and just pop round , crack open his garage and nick his 5k jobbie.

Very true, but so many people out there curse their bikes for lack of comfort, yet they have no idea that their postioning on the bike is totally wrong:rolleyes:

DuraAce eh ????, going racing are we ????:finger
