I saw an 09 defender at the supermarket yesterday. Shocking looking thing for 2009. Derek+Marge want their light clusters back for the caravan!

There is a reason for that - function over form

those light lenses cost pennies to replace compared to a fancy moulded light cluster :D

there is a beauty in its simplicity IMO

I bet you could leave the keys in it with the windows down and it still wouldn't get nicked.

That said, if they were more comfortable space wise in the cabin, I'd get one definitely. Wonderfully simple & honest machine that delivers what it is supposed to.

matey you can get these sliders now that you bolt to the rails and it gives you a different angle and much much more room :yeah:

Might have to go and have a test drive in one then. Last one I drove was a couple of years ago now. Hugely capable offroad but uncomfortable for me as the driving position was cramped.

I'd love a properly kitted out offroad one for mudplugging.
