DMS defender

The Merciless
i test drove a defender 90 . great car but was sluggish and terrible between gear 1 and 2 . 1 is used for about 2 seconds before it becomes irrelevant so you have to change up very quick to move along . ( obviously a towing / off road requirement ).
then i got in the dms defender , my god .
absolutely fantastic . night and day difference .
it was so good me and my brother got one !
the dms car is soooo much smoother more economical and faster it must be experienced to be believed .
it now pulls really strong . i dont even use first gear anymore pulls fine in second .
where before i was struggling to keep up with traffic im now more than able to lead the way .
also im very grateful to rob going to my brothers place and sorting out the re map so close to new years . great service in deed .
i am always a mocker of re maps and have never really been a fan but i must say it feels like a defender with a bigger engine , the difference is really really amazing and this is just a mild daily use re map , no mechanical mods at all !!!!
thanks rob , i am a believer .
highly recommended !

( imagine what can be done to a tdv8 !!!!!! )

top man rob and all at dms , happy new year !:yeah:

Diesel TB and stock map from 'tinernet....simples... ;)

oh no :finger i have driven a superchips one and one from mud something or other ( lr specialist ). nothing like the dms one .
this doesnt feel strained and as impressive as the power is the smoothness and economy .
dms is the daddy for remaps mate :yeah:

I had my defender remapped when it was a couple of weeks old, I agree that it makes the world of difference. I also had the front box replaced with a bypass pipe at the same time and i believe that makes a fair bit of difference as well. One thing i noticed about yours Doom is that you've still got the milk float tyres fitted. You need to get them off and fit some bfg all terrains.:yeah:

Guys don't forget I have worked in this business. Seriously 90% is this approach, anything else is wasting your time and eating into the profit margin.

Sounds about right to me.

Oh and be careful with dropping the back-pressure too much by removing boxes/filters/cats, you might improve the turbine spool-up, but doing this will make it more prone to overspeeding which is a key failure mode for T/Cs nowadays.

My landy has had the front box off since new and i give the thing death everywhere i go. No failures yet after 4 years.
