Is the 997 GT2 chassis the same as the GT3 RS ?

A 4x4 owner kindly put a large dent in my GT2 recently, it has to have a Geo done on it to make sure its ok which I know it will be as the impact was nothing special. Before the accident I was getting too much understeer and wondered if I set the car up in the same way Manthey set up my GT3 RS (which handles like a dream) would it work for the GT2 ?

Does anyone know if the chassis are the same ?

Yes it is ! just joined so this is my first post. Dunc was not in the 4x4, luckily he lives an hour away from me and the incident was a few miles from home !

The front suspension components were the same as on the 997 GT3 RS.2 so not exactly the same.. lower control arms or something..

Phil at Tech9 will know as will, any of the other specialists i'd imagine.

The spring rates and dampers will be different, even if everything else is the same.
The GT2 has more weight at the back (due to the turbos, intercoolers, etc.).

The suspension geometry is probably slightly different.

A good shop can or should be able to dial out any unwanted characteristics based upon your feedback

If you're in Leicester, I'd consider a trip to Chris Franklin at Center Gravity...you're close enough
