I can't watch the vid at work, but 15 years ago the 1/8th scale circuit cars were good for 70-100mph I think.
I don't suppose they are much faster now.
IIRC you have a centrifugal clutch, disc brakes and maybe 2 gears.

Since the weigh over a kilogram (2.2 lbs for oldies), you do not want them to hit you in the ankle.

I had a couple of off-road jobbies, but could not drive well enough to race.
