1976 Porsche 930 Turbo
£199,995
76,811 miles

This 1976 Porsche 930 3.0 Turbo Carrera is the earlier and most sought after 3.0 Turbo 911 model (manufacture date 08/76).

Finished in Sienna Metallic with Beige leather with Tartan inserts, it has had 3 owners 1977-1984, 1984-2013 and 2013 - present and has covered 76,811 miles and comes with a full service history, original manuals, service books, old invoices, 2 keys, air pump, correct dated spare wheel and tool kit. It is also still fitted with the original Blaupunkt stereo and separate Blaupunkt equalizer (manuals with the car). This is a matching numbers car and comes with the Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche.

A sympathetic restoration has been carried out recently as it was already a very solid car indeed. There is absolutely no welding or filler on the car and it also maintains all its original features such as the periscope headlamp washers and original dated Fuchs alloys. There is a comprehensive photographic record and receipts of all the work done to the car, which includes the following:

Full bare metal glass out respray
New leather/tartan interior ( to the original spec, as per CoA), to also include new dashboard, sun visors and boot carpet
All new rubber seals/door seals, bumper protectors, front valance, rear 'Porsche' reflector, side sill mouldings, Euro spec lights and bumperettes etc. around the car
Brake and suspension/bushes overhaul
New stainless steel performance Dansk exhaust
New tyres
Full engine service

As it was such a solid and honest car, every effort was made to maintain as much of the originality of the car (keeping the original paint in the door shuts, engine bay, boot etc. and keeping an original engine bay).

The car was originally supplied by Porsche America and came with the following optional extras:

Limited Slip Differential
Rear speakers
Chrome trim
Electric Sunroof

It is beautiful.. iconic car from my childhood, dreamed about owning one.

Until you drive one...like I did....and realise that it drives like a bag of hammers........so is best left in the childhood dreams category.

If it sells for that, it is what someone thinks it is worth.

Not sure why we're all surprised - some new cars out of the showroom are fetching overs and a bog standard 964 is £45k+ for a 130k miler!

It is a new paradigm, this time it is different etc. etc.

Iam I really that much out of touch

I'm sure it'll sell but I'm still struggling to get used to these random car valuations.

There's no rhyme nor reason ...

Fuck me where is the money coming from if that price is right? We haven't had the pound tank from Brexit whilst I was having my tea?

I wasn't personally part of the valuation discussion but the owner and Jonathan spent a long time discussing and it was felt that around €250k was its price point.

If anyone wants to make an offer though we can of course put it to the owner :)

Good luck with the sale.

I love these threads, I guess what the asking price will be - I was nearly £200k out on this one

Is the owners name & address :-

Mr Cuckoo

Cuckoo,s Nest House ,Cuckoo Lane ,Cuckoo Land ?

Sorry but if it isn't he is definitly living in Cuckoo Land...
