Boy Racer
If anyone is interested to purchase a stunning 993 Turbo, please call me to discuss as I have recently reduced the sale price. Was advertised high seventies.

Perfect for trackdays, or weekend cruising, lovely power and torque characteristics and excellent handling/braking with the KW adjustable suspension and Brembo brake upgrade with floating discs.

Unmarked Midnight Blue Metallic

Full comprehensive service history, mix of Porsche OPC and recognised Independent specialists
First registered 21st March 1996, delivered via Porsche (AFN) Guildford. Ordered with the X50 engine performance upgrade and was requested with GT2 aerokit. Some confusion arises over the vehicle about was was ordered and what was delivered, but the the original owner (who owned a 993 GT2 at the time) wanted the vehicle delivered with GT2 bodystyling. The car was delivered with the X78 aero package which is the Turbo S bodywork. Upon delivery the original owner insisted that he was not satisfied with the X78, so the factory supplied all the parts to upgrade the vehicle to GT2 bodywork. The parts were delivered painted, and were fitted in the UK.
Only 4 owners during its 15 year registration ..

So, a very rare specification, and an interesting history considering the factory involvement to ensure the correct specification was finally achieved.
The vehicle has a new set of Speedline wheels, by TECHART (Daytona style) as the original GT2 Magnesium wheels cracked (common fault)and were removed, these wheels are the same offset and style as the original GT2 wheels, albeit with a different spoke design.
A number of performance enhancing modifications have been performed on the vehicle

Engine
RS Tuning 520bhp upgrade featuring
Modified KKK24 turbochargers
Sports exhaust and high flow catalytic converters
Sport camshafts
5b Fuel pressure regulator
Sports Air filter
Oil cooler upgraded to GT2 Evo
ECU reprogram
Upgraded sport clutch

Interior
FIA fire extinguisher front mounted
Factory sports seats black leather

Chassis
KW variant 3 suspension system front and rear
Upgraded adjustable anti-roll bars front and rear
Brembo performance braking system front axle with 360mm floating discs, and upgraded 4 piston calipers, with Pagid performance brake pads front and rear, upgraded brake fluid

That looks sensational. Although, if in Black, I think it would be long gone..............

Thing is Lee, if it were a GT2, then agreed non metallic black is the colour, but this option on a 993 turbo is super rare, in fact dont think I've ever seen one !, so metallic black 993 turbo would be possible, but I dont think metallic black works on a 993. Midnight looks very special, especially in direct sunlight, has a bluey/violet hint to it, really shows the curves of the car

It's a great looking car.

But the description is trying too hard imho and raises more questions than it should.

The car is a 993TT X50 with the X78 option.
It also has a Porsche OEM GT2 bodykit and other mods as listed.
It should be priced on that basis.

42k miles is average for a 993TT, and £60k would be a fair price factoring in a minor premium for the mods (which we all know generally do not carry big value in the used market).

Where the bodykit came from, how, and why etc is completely irrelevant.

I think a car like this has to be described as accurate as possible, hence the information relating to its history. In my experience of selling Porsche, potential clients are very clued up on the brand, and like to know who did what and when. Again a thorough service history with documentation is critical, which this car has

there are invoices showing £25k, relating to the RS Tuning conversion, I think this is a fairly fundamental aspect of the vehicle's specification

maybe £60k is the price, I guess time will tell. I think £60k buys you a nice standard 993 turbo with this sort of mileage, but add the specification that is included, that would cost north of £40k to replicate, then mid £seventies should be ballpark:dontknow:

Interesting debate, will make a lovely car for someone :tu

You are not mis-describing the car by saying it's a 993TT X50 with the X78 pack, as that is exactly what it is. As I said, how/why the car gained it's GT2 bodykit is irrelevant.

Many here have modded Pork in the past. I wonder how many got back the majority of their mods cost at resale?

Anyway, I am only giving some thoughts as you have had the car for sale for a while, tried selling it on PGT more than once, and it still has not sold. Normally, the only reason for this is that it is overpriced. That being said, however, it is a lovely car in a great spec :)

GLWS! :tu
