The return of... Exclusive Car Care - Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale

Jayplay

Newbie
Hi all, I decided a while back to take a bit of time away from forums and the internet and after a long break I've now decided to get back involved with the forum and have come back on board as a site sponsor:tu

For those of you that don't know or remember me -
My name is Jay Lawrence - I am a professional car detailer, and Exclusive Car Care was established through a passion for, and dedication to, preparing vehicles consistently to the highest levels of automotive finishing.

Im based in Wiltshire and offer a mobile service and regularly work around Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset and are open to travelling further afield upon request. I also have use of secure indoor facilities in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire if you don't have suitable indoor space for any detailing work to be carried out.

Please browse my website for examples of my work - www.exclusivecarcare.co.uk

I know not everyone is into "detailing" or even cares about a clean car so I wont bore you with too many posts of my work but thought Id share with you a few photos of the work undertaken on this Ferrari 360 CS that I completed a few months back. If your interested in seeing the full write up with more photos then you can view it by clicking the following link - http://www.exclusivecarcare.co.uk/ferrari-360-challenge-stradale-restorative-detail/

As this was a new purchase for the owner he asked me to spend whatever time necessary on the car to bring it up as good a standard as possible so I fully inspected every square inch of the car to find all of the defects, I then set about restoring the 360 CS up to a level that it deserves.

Carbonfiber parts from the engine bay were removed and given a light machine polish before being coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum.

A fair amount of dirt had accumulated behind the carbon side panels so these areas were carefully cleaned before re-fitting the side panels back into the engine bay.

The brake calipers were in need of a refurb due to the lacquer peeling away so this was a perfect opportunity for them to be changed to a different colour as the black calipers look lost behind the wheels. A technician from Bob Houghton Ferrari was called in to remove the calipers.

New pistons & seals were also fitted to the calipers.

The owner of the car choose to have the calipers painted yellow which contrasts nicely against the Rosso Scuderia paintwork and do not look lost behind the wheels.

The interior was in need of a thorough cleaning so the seats were removed so that the entire cabin could be attended too. Some of the bobbling on the bolsters was also carefully removed

The carbonfiber door cards were given a light polish to restore some clarity and lustre which were then treated to a coat of Swissvax Carnauba Wax.

Using various machines coupled with various pads and polishes the Rosso Scuderia paintwork was corrected and refined to leave a high gloss finish, free from swirl marks.

Stunning. Will eventually do this, probably at the end of next summer.

You know anyone in Switzerland who does that?

What is the price range for such a full detail?

amazing work Jay. Would love to get that done to a couple of my cars.

Do you work on older stuff as well? I have an 60's jag that needs some tlc.

That must be such a satisfying job! Especially with cars like these, appreciating in value, but looking old and tatty, restored to their former glory :tu

Good to see you back Jay, and awesome Job as usual, been using Jay for years and can say his attention to detail and quality of work is epic.

Hi Jay, yes still got the 2.4s, but back in the UK now.

Going to need it doing again before long as the paint has suffered a bit in storage :)

Nice to see some of the other bits pre and post detail, alcantara seats, exhaust parts, brakes and normally unseen areas.

Great work!
