What Tuition Will Involve

I aim to use every technique and technology that I can, this is how I improve my racing and why I feel I have the edge over my competitors. I use the same dedicated approach when coaching my clients.

The use of data and video analysis, combined with my calm and clear coaching is the most efficient and effective way to make a driver quicker, more consistent and safer

My Instruction

I am a very clear and calm instructor.

Over my many years of coaching I have learnt that clients respond much better to clear, yet precise instructions and so manage to actually learn and improve. My aim is to enable you to understand why we are driving in a certain way, and how it is affecting the car. Only then will you be able to fully grasp new techniques, and remember then for a time when you may not have a coach sitting next to you.

Data Analysis

When racing competitively, as much is learnt with Data Analysis as when driving. Data is necessary to improve driving, whether finding a few seconds a lap or half a tenth in a hairpin.

I use a GPS Data Logging system to map Speed, G-force, Accelerate, Braking and Racing Lines.

This means that we can log you improvement throughout coaching sessions, analysing with certainty where you have made time up.

I usually set a ‘benchmark’ time, and then overlay my client’s data with mine. This helps to see where the biggest differences in lap time are, and therefore which corners we should concentrate on first.

Video Analysis

When I race with an on-board video camera I always watch myself repeatedly afterwards. It helps to analyse driving style and more importantly how to improve.
I use a high quality specialised sports camera, which can be used in any car. I use it at the circuit in between sessions to highlight issues clients may have, for example braking points or racing lines.

After the track day I complete an in depth debrief using both the car data and video, sending you my thoughts and both files.

Using Data Analysis and Video Analysis is the most comprehensive to evaluate your driving, enabling my clients to effectively and efficiently improve their on-circuit driving.

And Finally...

My aim is to provide the most complete coaching package possible, not just to arrive and shout out where to brake and turn.

To do this I use all of my own racing practices with all of my clients. Working in my thorough and in-depth manner has helped me to win numerous European Championships and it will help your driving too.

Due to the detailed nature of my coaching days I try to limit myself to one person per day. However, if some drivers would like to share my coaching I can split two drivers between morning and afternoon.

Thank You for your time and good luck!

hi scott

sounds good.
would it be helpful to leave email address and phonenumbers?fees?

is there a website?

cheers

scott helped me at a track quite recently . i must say the system and pace of the instruction was very good indeed . made me feel calm and very relaxed at a new circuit without having to overload me with information . he was very patient ( and fearless :D ) also .

I know a guy called Shedwards who needs some tuition, although you may need to start on pedal power - 2 wheels first (perhaps stabilisers?).

So when the client's quicker you can make corrections ? :D :P
