There is a company called Replica Engines that are making quarter sized fully working engines for your coffee table, they are all hand built and perfect copies of the full blown V8. Looking on the site Click Me the detail is amazing.

Not sure I would want to spend $10,000 on one though.

I'm not sure that a 1/4 scale 4 litre V8 engine would be much good on my coffee table , but in a Caterham or Westfield just maybe
