Title says it all really. We have all the necessary Speedster parts in the shop and the customer is delivering his newly aquired 60,000mile 993VR Tiptronic convertible on Monday for us to start work on converting it into a turbo-bodied 9m93 Speedster.

We intend to do a full body restoration on the car, so included in the work will be an absolute & complete strip down to bare shell, structural Speedster conversion of the window frame & roof mounting points, turbo rear quarters fitted followed by the shell being dipped & E-coated in the same manner as Baf's conversion.

Regards

Peter

Indepth discussion on the conversion can be found on rennlist under the 993 section.

looks great, top idea! :yum:

sorry but I can't be arsed to go through 20 pages of Americans whooping at each other about how 'bad ass' their cars look - does this use 3.2 Speedster bits or 964?

any idea of rough cost for the conversion (on top of the donor car of course)?

thanks :tu

Nice conversion.

Shame about it having the crappy 4-speed Tiptronic, that really ruins the car.

the customer who has commissioned the build has sufferd nerve damage to his left leg so he cant use a clutch.also its a wet chassis car not a racer the tip works well for this application as the power del is smooth the chassis does not flap about:D

Further updates on the Speedster project almost at the stage where the shell is completly painted
