hhhmmm interesting stuff never had any issues with warranty through KW before always been sorted out straight away if the suspension is at fault. We have sold the most KW suspension kits in the UK we were told by KW over the past year or so and we had one issue with a 964 shock absorber leaking that was sent back to germany and replacement sent straight away.

that's good, i always had the impression KW was good stuff but understandably that thread i linked to had put me off!

understandingly it would put anyone of reading a thread like that but I can assure you KW suspension components are real top quality.

guess that some think they deal directly with kw if in fact they deal with distributor.heard some things which are difficult to believe if you ever dealt with kw motorsport or bilstein motorsport directly?

Tomkat,

We do get the oppurtunity a lot of the time to deal with KW on the motorsport side not so much on the Bilstein side of things we dont tend to use Bilstein stuff that often.A lot of the time joe public will always deal with a KW distributor and it is down to the distributor at this point to coordinate with KW direct if there are issues that need attention.

Robmug,

This is mostly true in some cases the motorsport suspension can be warrantied as good will jesture depending on what the specific warranty claim is.Generally across the board anything to do with motorsport doesnt come with a warranty at all.

No doubt KW stuff is good, however Clubsport (which is road not race) has no warranty at all. If you have a failure then I'm sure KW will be good but it is based on goodwill.

agree and that was my point but you can see from thorney below that some guys were misled by some distributors

Interestingly enough I had a good chat with one of the MS guys from KW Germany and he had no idea of the issues we'd had.

I had a few problems with some KW 3's & once I had got through to Germany things were sorted, took longer than the 10 days promised for the refurb so they didnt charge. This was about 4 years ago & I believe they now have a new UK agent

I certainly thought the product was good, I tried 2's & 3's & the 3's are vastly superior, I think the 2 is simply a rebadged Koni :dontknow:
