Ironic....

It has always struck me as supremely ironic that the Gatsometer ('Gatso') which we have all come to know and love was invented by a Dutch *rally driver* - Maurits Gatsonides - for an entirely different purpose.

He used it to measure his cornering speed in order to improve his driving - i.e. his ultimate aim was to GO FASTER!!

Funny you should mention "speed" cameras, there was an article in the car section of the Sunday Times some 4 weeks ago, within, it described the vast number of different cameras that now exist on the UK roads.......

All I thought about after reading it was "I need to buy a plane"
