Can anyone help me trace a malicious email please ?

I can try. - if you can pm, or email me the headers, I can tell you what information I can about it.

have a fair bit of experience in doing so as used to run a mail platform for a large UK ISP..

If it was sent from a gmail address then you're best off talking directly to Google, as they mask the senders IP address so there's little one can do except just talk to them.

The police have to treat this the same as any poison pen letter, it might be worthwhile letting them know
