Elite Detailing a Porsche 996 GT3RS White/Blue

Hi all,

This is the first write up I thought I could upload. It's my favourite 996 variant, the GT3 RS. :)

It's owned by Clive off the forum and I was lucky enough to work on it earliar this year..

At the time the GT3RS had completed two consecutive track days and not washed or treated with anything before, during, inbetween or after each trackday.

As you would expect, there was plenty of grime attached to this beauty.

The RS was given one of my normal thorough washes which lasted about 2 hours although I knew that once I had finished drying off the car that there would be plenty more cleaning to do.

Products used listed here:

R222 Total Auto Wash

Zaino Z-7 Show Car Wash

Ultra Safe Drying Towel

Lambswool Wash Mitt

Wheels cleaned with:

R222 High Performance Wheel Gel Cleaner

Meguiars Deep Pile Microfibre Wash Mitt

Boars Hair Wheel Brush

You can see below pictures of the car after the wash. There are still bits of melted rubber all over the car which would need more attention.

The Elite Detailing decontamination process was then performed which basically removed the in bedded foreign properties and extra care was taken on the front venture shield. This took a further 1.5 hours.

One of the products of choice here was:

Zaino Z-18 Clay System

After the decontamination process, as you can see, no more nasty rubber/tar marks:

The car is already looking way better at this point.

The vehicle's paint work was then inspected properly under intense lighting and also measured using depth gauges. In this case I did not need to bring out my microscopes.

After which, the car was masked up and ready for the correction.
