Car Magazine: Hybrids suffer in new Congestion Charge

Well, that is real nonsence and encouraged by the anti-hybrid brigade. I guess, the only consolation is that if you have a Lexus 450h you still get 340bhp 0-62 in 5.9 seconds and can average well over 30mpg; meanwhile in traffic, the fuel consumption improves on that figure and at a standstill, when other cars are polluting the city, the hybrid turns itself off. Even the air conditioning is worked by the batteries.
I believe that diesel pollutes much more than petrol but we are not informed properly. It keeps the oil companies in business!
This move does nothing to encourage innovation and is typical of the dictatorial and meddling politicians who pollute our society.
Darn it, why do they encourage China to infringe human liberties, pollute the atmosphere and build an Olympic Stadium with slave labour. Of course all athletes will then have to compete in a smog ridden environment.
