I can't remeber how many times I have said it is going to be heavy. For some reason people were thinking it would be 997 GT3 weight.
It is daft when you consider the 320 couple is 1365 kgs. I can't believe 300kgs difference between them considering the high-tech materials and super lightweight V8.
So, if they did bring out a CSL, I don't think they could save much weight in the body because they already have made use of lightweight materials. I bet the seats weigh a tonne as do the gizmos, so you could probably lose 100kgs inside the car.
Doesn't bode well for a new CSL at all really. My guess is they will shed 100kgs and add 30 odd horse power, if they bother. The best candidate for the next CSL is the Z4M coupe IMHO.
