First up is this new Audi R8 V10 Plus. The owner wanted the paint perfecting after he had seen lots of swirls in the black paint after collection.
I'm not sure whats going on at dealerships at the moment but we are seeing more and more high end cars with really poor paint prep these day!
After a thorough and careful pre wash and 2 bucket shampoo so as not to inflict any more swirls the car was dried and brought inside for polishing.

After both the little engine cover and rear wing were corrected
These 2 examples show what was actually wrong with the entire car.
MANY hours later the paint was perfect for possibly the first time in the cars very short life. Although I had been panel wiping each section as I went to remove polishing oils and check the true correction, the car was then thoroughly panel wiped again to remove any last traces of oils or silicones leaving a perfectly clean surface ready for the sealant. This is important to ensure a proper bond of the sealant to the paint to give maximum protection and durability.
In this instance the customer requested Gtechniq Crystal Serum.
Crystal Serum provides unrivalled levels of gloss, swirl resistance, chemical resistance and durability. On its own its not the most hydrophobic of products so in this instance it was topped with Gtechniq C2 to give a slick, hydrophobic finish.
The glass was treated with Gtechniq G1 long life rain repellant, trim with Gtechniq C4, tyres with Gtechniq T1 and T2. The interior was cleaned using Gtechniq I2 and then protected with Gtechniq I1 Fabric guard and L1 Leather guard.
