Post no.2

Some shiny cars for you to look at on a dull Tuesday morning.

Details of all of our services along with over 300 of the cars e've previously worked on can be seen on our website...

And we are still all over social media where you can see all the cars as we work on them

The next car for this customer was his new Lava Orange GT3RS.

I've now worked on 3 991 RS but seen a further 3 in the flesh, and all 6 have exhibited the same paint defects. Sanding marks and really poor holograms on the bonnet, wings and front and rear bumpers leaving a really dull finish and general swirls over the rest of the car. Its been a similar story on the GT4s as well.

A couple of shots after polishing showing the nice glow you actually get from this non metallic Lava Orange once its properly polished. Not as complex as Woppum's project colour but nicer than I had expected when I saw the press photos of this colour.

A final before and after just to bang home how poor the standard of this £160k brand new car was!

The customer again requested Gtechniq Crystal Serum as the base sealant to give this new car the best protection possible. This was topped with Gtechniq C2. Trim treated with Gtechniq C4. Glass treated with Gtechniq G1.

The finished results.

While I'm on the "Porsche need to do better" theme... here we have another 991RS. And another one that I've got to say the colour in the flesh looked a lot better than I was expecting.

I'd noticed that the carbon engine cover was looking very dull so I had a couple of goes at brightening this up and this was as good as it got.

The customer requested Gtechniq C1, but I'd run out of this so with the customers approval I applied Crystal Serum at no extra cost. This was again topped with Gtechniq C2 and the interior was cleaned and protected with the Gtechniq Antibacterial interior products. I2, I1 and L1.

The finished result... Purple Perfection

There are a few more images of both cars in the portfolio on our website.

Thanks for looking and happy to answer any questions.

is that first car Worange ?

really like the UV car - saw one at a dealers on Saturday and reckon its the best colour for these

Is the original paint swirled up from the factory? Or had these had a few miles/washes under their belt?

The orange one had under 100 miles from where it had been collected, driven home and used one other time but I was the first one to wash it.

The purple one was pre delivery.

The other white one I worked on was the same as the orange one. I was the first to wash.

The others I have seen are the same story. 2 at the dealers pre their valeters touching the car, 1 in a storage facility and the car was trailered from the dealers and have about 40 miles on the clock.

I think 80-90% of the defects are from the factory and then a few scuffs and swirls get added in transport and at the dealers.

Although saying that Ive also seen some 'new' cars that are absolutely filthy after their PDI or just sitting outside in the compound which will need washing by the OPC which is probably where the swirls come from
