Autostore PPF service

Hi all.

I thought I'd just take a moment to show some of our in house PPF work.

We primarily use Xpel ultimate film and our own modified Xpel templates in order to wrap a few more edges and also aid the fitment to avoid adhesive shift marks on the main panels.

Just to breifly talk through these photos, Porsche 991 fuel cap removed and PPF applied

We also offer a bespoke templating service for older cars where either no templates are available, or the templates are so old or not accurate enough for the fitment we aim to achieve.

This F40 received a full wrap with bespoke templates all made with templating film in house.

And this 328 had a front end, sill and lower door bespoke template and fitment. Look closely and you can see how the leading edges are wrapped

And finally we are approved installers for Highgate House graphics...

... and we also design and produce vinyl graphics in house. This Aventador SV was in for a full PPF wrap. The OEM satin SV stickers were removed to enable a seamless, bubble free PPF fitment, new SV vinyl digitally reproduced to match originals perfectly, in a matching satin finish and re fitted on top of the gloss PPF.

Good luck with venture , is it you and your team that installs or have you brought a new team in ? What version of xpel do you use and do you offer a warrenty for the work.

Also very interesting to hear pricing ? I guess you are doing this at the Marque once facility in Cambridge ? Would need to factor in car transporter there and back etc

Im writing an email as we speak..

Thanks. I've told Jules to keep an eye out.

Any pricing ??

Most normal car front ends including 911's would be £1500 for full bonnet, wings, bumper and wing mirrors.
The Aventador SV full wrap came in at just under £5000 excluding the decals
We do not charge VAT currently

Jules has done three cars for me, always been very pleased with the quality of the work......

Thanks David. Looking forward to the 4th

Thanks Sam. It's far from a new venture but just not something we shout about as in honesty we have a nice steady stream of work... although it never hurts to spread the word to those who never knew our service existed.

So to clear a few misconceptions up as your comments aren't the first time I've heard confusion at the structure here...

Autostore own the whole site and are primarily a car storage company. They also have a small showroom on the same premises as well as a 7 ramp workshop and MOT bay.

Mike Lee / Marque1 is a completely different company with zero stake in the Autostore site other than being friends of Autostore and having a desk here (I believe at one point he may have been in discussion to part own the showroom but it never happened). Mike tends to use his expertise in the brokerage market and Autostore usually retail cars for him that require warranty. To some it's perhaps a strange arrangement but it seems to work for us.

Jules Sturgess (brother of the director of Autostore) runs a PPF company on the same site.

And somehow I, Cambridge Autogleam Detailing, have ended up there as another friend of Autostore with my workshop next to Jules.

I'm not employed by Autostore but I've taken on the role of Autostore ambassador as its a great facility with so much to offer. I also look after all the sales car photography and website.

This post is about the PPF services we can offer on site. I have no part in the fitment process but work closely with Jules as lots of customers require detailing and PPF as part of the same job.

Through my work as both a mobile and more recently a fixed location detailer over the past 14 years, I've been able to see PPF fitments from all the major companies and I'm more than happy to recommend Jules' services to my own customers.

When I say 'we' it's just because I feel part of the team.

Regarding the film. We currently solely use Xpel Ultimate Plus. We tried their hydrophobic film but found the clarity to not be up to the same standard as the regular film. We are also waiting for the first extra wide Suntek rolls to be available in the UK to allow a seamless fit on the extra long bonnets of cars like the Ferrari 812 etc.

As for the warranty. The Xpel film comes with its own warranty against yellowing and cracking etc. Jules also gives a 3 year warranty against delimitation, peeling or bubbling as a result of application error.

Hope that answers all the questions

Nathan
