Paintwork was pretty much defect free, just a few light scratches. Machine polished with a finishing polish to add some gloss and clarity to paint and remove the fine scratches

For protection Nanolex was used giving the client upto 18 months of protection. This was applied to paint, wheels and windows.

All surfaces wiped down with Nanolex Paint Cleanser before Nanolex Premium Sealant applied

Quick question about snowfoam. Can you honestly say that it does anything other than look good? I have the same or similar lance you have attached to my Karcher and I add 1/3 foam, a good few caps of shampoo and then top it up with hot water and whilst I get the desired visual result it doesnt do much else.

Good job on the TT BTW.

Cheers

Paul,

Foaming helps to loosen and lift the dirt on the car. The benefit here is that the bulk of dirt removal is done before a wash mitt is placed on the car, which greatly reduces the risk of inflicting marring and fine scratches during the hand-washing process.

However, here i foamed the car twice with a strong cleaner to strip any glazes, polishes or protection the car may have had applied by the dealership whilst it was sitting in their showroom the last 2 months

That looks great Jay. I must get round to getting the Porsche minty fresh for summer, you've made me feel guilty now :yeah:

Excellent stuff. I have to say , since getting my 997, I'm really into this car washing malarky and have spent loads on this that and the other. Even bought some clay the other day (though I have no idea how to use it yet!)

This forum needs a detailing section, not a gay photographers section - at least this is related to cars.

James.

You need to invest in one of these then..

Amazing that a new car can have so many scratches & defects.

Having been on a few visits to various factories they make huge effort to ensure paintwork is 100% when they leave.

superb job!! poeple dont appreciate the effort that goes into detailing a car, im sure you spent many hours at this. i personally dont but use ryan from detailni off this forum who is based in belfast.

what did you sue on your wheels? at the minute i rinse car, snow foam the life out fo it (partly cause its fun) sponge and rinse. is their some sort of non corrosive spray for the wheels to loosen brake dust and make it easier to clean the wheels?

Thats what my understanding was but no matter how thick I spray it on it sits there for a little while and then all falls away without lifting any dirt whatsoever.

This is the stuff I am using

I use bilberry wheel cleaner myself. Get my stuff from cleanyourcar.co.uk - excellent service every time I have ordered something.
