Audi RS4 detailed

Jayplay

Newbie
Here is a very neglected 9 year old Audi RS4

Vehicle had its usual wet stages - foam, wash, clay etc etc

Working my way up trying different combos I settled on using Menz 302 on a cutting pad, some areas required a wool pad (LCPFW)

Pics are before refinement

Thanks for looking

great stuff, how did you repair/cleanup the leather bolster if you don't mind divulging? Airbrush involved or easier than that? cheers.

I would love to have the leather cleaned up like that - mine is pimp grey and is a bit grubby with that type of marking on it - the secret is........?

it was repaired using Liquid Leather (Gliptone) scuff master kit and airbrushed on with a few light coats. You can sponge it on but you get far better results by using a airbrush

and thanks to everyone for their comments, much appreciated

How long does airbrushed leather keep its looks? Can't be long?

its very durable but just like with real leather if caught or snagged it will mark though. Like most things it will eventually wear but its certainly a cheaper alternative than replacing or re-trimming a whole seat

I did my neighbors whole drivers seat in his BMW 325 over a year ago and its still like great and its a daily driver although he is very careful climbing in and out

Fair does! :)

Great job :tu

Do you find black paints generally softer than most ??

My old 996 TT was terrible for getting scratches/swirl marks..... made worse by a pigeon that crapped on it DAILY :wall I sussed his bacon and got the tree cut down :yeah:
