Audi R8 Overload :)

Guam

Newbie
HI Guys as some of you may know the Audi R8 roadshow is touring the us right now :)

Well they got to Atlanta raceway and after running a black one round the track and seeing what happened to the paint, they placed a call to our US operation and a good buddy of mine and one of the best installers in the world (and definitely THE best in North America). Called David from Speed film in Atlanta, we designed a kit for this monster (full coverage and speed installed them.

A good selection of colours to drool over here, cant wait to see this on the UK roads :) BTW tall have full coverage on in these pics (except of course the black one which needs a repaint)

I'm certainly warming to it.....

plus's:

New and fresh
Engine will be good
build quality/reliability
Handling (so mags say)
Warranty 3 years as you say...(better than Porsches 2:rolleyes: )
Practicality (within reason)

Negs:

Reminds me of TT a bit too much (especially latest shape)
That rear end looks a little awkward (rear quater from behind that carbon panel)
Very uncertain of residuals ??
Badge kudos ??
it isn't actually THAT fast for the amount of power it has.

Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh

agree to a degree however
with regards the looking like the tt

the cayman looks like the 911, however doesnt effect the sales of the 911 is it

The Guys in the US who had a run in them reckoned it will be well worth the cash :) I did feel they could have made more effort with the interior, that said I think I am going to like this car a lot when I see one in the flesh :)

Love the license plates (they have been around from what I understand)

Cheers

but the 911 already has iconic status, which the Cayman is aspiring to, but the R8 has no roots other than downwards to a TT.....

but i know what you mean;)
